MetroWest’s Next Generation came together
to celebrate and honor two of their own
What do you get when you mix a night of dancing,
updating your Facebook status, henna tattoos, and
philanthropic spirit? You get 200 of MetroWest’s next
generation to Spring Fling, held April 15, at the Morris
Museum in Morristown.
A “Generositree” stood front and center, and as people
made gifts to the 2010 UJA Campaign, a symbolic leaf
was hung on the tree each time — the MetroWest
community was “blooming.”
Messages from people in the crowd were posted on
Facebook and shared on large screens at the Museum.
Spring Fling is an annual fundraising event cosponsored
by the Young Leadership Division and Young
Women’s Campaign of United Jewish Communities of
MetroWest NJ.
At the event, Adina Brownstein of South Orange and
Jonathan Ramsfelder of Morristown received the Julius
and Bessie Cohn Young Leadership Award.
The Award is given annually to two members of the
MetroWest community who have shown excellence in
leadership and commitment to the welfare of the Jewish
people.
The night ended with a majority of the guests dancing
into the wee hours.
Spring Fling was co-chaired by Melody Fuhr of Short
Hills, Stacey McGarr of Millburn, Jodi Murnick of Short
Hills, and Jamie Ramsfelder of Morristown.
