Moving in a New Direction

On July 1st, 2008 I became the chair of the Local Allocations Committee, familiarly known as the LAC. Our mandate was to oversee the annual allocations given by UJC to its beneficiary agencies and service providers. The process had been in place for several years: the LAC reviewed yearly budgets and met with allocation recipients to discuss their needs on a yearly basis. This was my LAC.
