The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra salutes legendary
composer Leonard Bernstein with some of his most iconic
music—the Overture to Candide opens the program with flair,
and West Side Story Symphonic Dances culls the musical’s
most intoxicating rhythms and melodies. Gifted pianist
Benjamin Hochman explores the classical and jazz fusion of
George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, led by the talented,
dynamic conductor Gerald Steichen.
