"People to People" is the theme of this year's Annual Meeting. A special highlight of the evening for members of the community will be the unique opportunity to vote on the merger of UJC MetroWest and the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey.
The merged entity would have a new name — Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ — but the same mission — to help Jews in need and ensure a vibrant Jewish future.
Paula Saginaw, outgoing UJA Campaign Chair, will be recognized for her tireless efforts on behalf of the UJA Annual Campaign. In addition to the historic vote, the meeting will also recognize Federation's singular ability to build living bridges that connect people locally and globally, the presentation of the UJC Endowment Achievement Award, and the election of trustees.
Guests will be able to socialize and network during the buffet dinner and dessert, and also be the first to learn who has been named the 2012 winners of the Julius & Bessie Cohn Young Leadership Awards.
The Annual Meeting is taking place on Wednesday, May 23, at the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany. The evening will begin with dinner at 5:45 followed by the meeting at 7. The registration fee is $40 per person; dietary laws will be observed. RSVP online by Tuesday, May 22, or call (973) 929-3021.
