The MetroWest Jewish community commemorates and celebrates different occasions throughout the year. Each year, the American and Israel communities gather to observe Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day, when is them immediately followed by the community's largest event as we celebrate Israel Independence Day, Yom Ha’atzmaut. This family event offers entertainment, food, an Israeli marketplace, and lots more.
The springtime season wouldn’t be complete without participating in the Salute to Israel parade in New York City. Hundreds of MetroWest residents join Jews from around the area as we march up Fifth Avenue showing our support for Israel. The celebrations continue on Yom Yerushalayim. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem and is sure to be extra special.
All of these events are open to the public and are free of charge. This year’s events take place on:
