Cuba’s Jewish Community — A Miraculous Rebirth This week, I’m going to describe how there came to be a Jewish community in Cuba in the first place and its miraculous rebirth in the last twenty years. Although there have been Jews in Cuba since the days of Columbus, the first recorded organization of the Jewish community is in 1906, when a group of eleven American Jews living in Cuba founded the United Hebrew Congregation in Havana. more |
